Synopsis: John Larroquette is among the new cast members as new partner Carl Stack, who seems to go out of his way to throw his weight around, including threatening Clarence's job and assigning a new attorney a first degree murder trial...an attorney so new that she's never even been to trial, where she meets former partner Brad Chase. Shirley asks Alan to defend her in recanting a pledge to a well-known university and Alan finds himself trapped in a corner by the opposing counsel, a former girlfriend.
