	Synopsis: After his senate campaign dies, Cliff is down in the dumps. He knows J.R. is somehow involved but can't prove it. A reporter comes by hoping to get a raw, uncensored interview with him, but instead talks to Digger, who mentions that he believes John Ross Ewing III is actually Cliff's baby. Cliff, seeing yet another chance to humiliate J.R., concurs and lets the story go to press. J.R. and Sue Ellen hide the true facts from Jock and Miss Ellie, as do Bobby and Pam. J.R. gets a judge to acknowledge the birth certificate, so Cliff sues for paternity instead as it will force a blood test to confirm who the real father is.
