	Synopsis: Dorothy believes her late husband Marcus still got her pregnant, but Dr. Mike Quinn finds on the contrary it's the transition in adult womanhood; she gets a suspicious bleeding, which just might be a malignant tumor. Everybody is talking about the approaching annual ball; the doctor also hints at it- Byron Sully just calls it all silly but finally asks her anyway, so she tries to teach him the local folk dances he doesn't know, but he's only interested in physical contact with her and walks off saying people don't change. The silly girls consider the amorous potential of cute new schoolboy Richard, who has the latest novels, but misunderstand which one he fancies, and get socially messed up.
