Synopsis: Polly Clarke, the author of highly-coloured romantic novels, arrives on the island to rent a cottage and Ted is smitten - though the others in the house are not exactly encouraging. Polly invites Ted for drinks, which means he has to rush through a mass he is giving for some visiting nuns, and on arriving at Polly's cottage finds it is a house-warming party, not an intimate twosome, with the nuns amongst the guests. In fact after everybody else has left Polly dashes Ted's hopes even further by announcing that she wants to become a nun.
