	Synopsis: The Major Crimes squad investigates an attempted robbery that led to several deaths including some the thieves. With Assistant Chief Johnson now retired, Lt. Provenza is the senior investigating officer. Newly promoted Assistant Chief Taylor is soon on the scene as is Captain Sharon Raydor who, Taylor announces to everyone, is now the head of Major Crimes. Needless to say, this does not sit well with most members of the team. Matters only get worse when the one gunman they arrested at the scene is killed while sitting in a police car awaiting transportation to the station. That event sets them on the path to solving the crime. Meanwhile underraged Rusty Beck is upset to learn Brenda is no longer working there and wonders who will now be looking for his mother.
