Synopsis: Chalciope, on the trail of Hero and Oracle, leaves a bloody trail behind her when she finds the Old Woman freed by Hero in the Cyclops' Cave. Hero, Oracle and Daedalus have been brought to the Minoan encampment. Minos shows his displeasure at Daedalus' escape by torturing the inventor. Daedalus is temporarily blinded and sufficiently broken to agree to do Minos' bidding - design a war machine that will breech the Athenian walls. Hero is turned over to Ariadne who, in a sexually charged session, tortures him by cutting a slit in his belly and threatens to insert a snake into his stomach. Hero is able to turn the seduction into a game of bondage but when he tries to escape he is stopped at spear point and tossed into a prison pit. Meanwhile, Oracle is fending off Minos by intriguing him with clever deductions about his health and the state of Minoan affairs. Soon, she has Minos in the palm of her hand.
