	Synopsis: Lt. Andy Anderson's cousin James Anderson is a rookie cop who has just been transferred to the patrol division and partnered with an exemplary and experienced officer, Otto Norden. Otto and Andy know each well and is a regular for dinner at Otto's house on Thursday where his mother treats them to a wonderful meal. On their first night out however, they investigate a robbery where Otto is killed, the security guard is found drugged and the safe blown with nitro destroying the contents except for $60,000. Eyewitnesses also say they saw James Anderson fleeing from the scene but he says he was somehow knocked out. James returns later to investigate but finds the security guard strangled. When James is charged with murder, Andy gets Perry Mason, who is also the corporate attorney for the company robbed, to defend him but the initial information is that the revered Otto Norden may have been involved, something his mother refuses to accept.
