Synopsis: After the mayor, recovering alcoholic Hellmann, falls from a Thanksgiving parade float apparently drunk, Burt runs for interim mayor, so 'first lady' Virginia could light the public Christmas decoration. Burt however finds, like all predecessors, including barney, that interim mayor 'opportunities' are traps to do the incumbent's dirty work, in this case canceling this year's Christmas festivities to save money needed for the public swimming pool. |
